Over the weekend the Denver Post ran a story on Marci Bowers who is expanding her practice to help victims of female circumcision, also known as genital mutilation which can result in a lifetime of complications so painful and horrific I’m not going to list them here.

For those who don’t know in 2003 Bowers took over for Dr. Stanley Biber’s sex-change operation practice so if her name is unfamiliar to you that’s why.
