• It’s First Friday Art Walk on Santa Fe.  Pretty much every art gallery on Santa Fe between 6th St and oh let’s say 9th St is open this evening. If for no other reason go to see the guy who drives a giant fire-breathing steel alligator down the street.  What’s that you say? Here’s a photo.  If that’s not enough for whatever reason, there will also be wine, cheese and quite possibly veggie sticks.  Santa Fe between 6th and 9th St 5pm-9ish.

• Fort Collins’ “Pride In The Park” is Saturday afternoon followed by an after party at a nearby events center that night.  Website here.

• MCA Denver (Museum of Contemporary Art) is holding Penny Saturday – admission is only one cent.  Go get your cheap ass some culture at MCA if you missed the Santa Fe art walk. 1485 Delgany 10am-6pm  More info here.

• The film “Outrage” which examines the outing of closeted anti-gay politicians opens this weekend at the Landmark Chez Artiste.  Showtimes on Landmark’s website here. Trailer here.

• “Alter Boyz” a musical comedy about a Christian boy-band is running at Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret this weekend. Check their website for dates/times.

• La Piazza, an exhibition of Italian chalk art, is being held in Larimer Square Sat and Sunday. Website here.

Most of the events listed on this blog are in Denver but I wanted to let y’all know our friends up in Fort Collins are celebrating pride this weekend with Pride In The Park.  The festival is Saturday afternoon (June 6th) from 11:00am-5:00pm in Civic Center Park, Fort Collins.

Following the festival is the after-party at the Sunset Events Center where the Demented Divas will be performing.  The after party is from 6:00pm-1:00am and the Divas go on stage at 7:00.  Tickets for the after-party are $25 and include a drink.  If you just want to go for the dance portion after the show it’s only $10 (which also includes a drink).
